Mt Stuart Cubs attended the 22nd Tasmanian Cuboree recently, held at The Lea Scout Camp. Our cubs had the chance to participate in a huge number of activities, including Abseiling, Flying Fox, Water Activities, and making bush doughnuts to name a few. Many of the activities involved the 'Year of the Snake' theme, including Giant Snakes and Ladders, Snake Woggles, and some live snake handling. A big thanks to the Leaders and Helpers, Venturers, and most importantly our Scout Patrol Leaders, for all their help over the weekend.

This Cuboree also marked the end of an era - two of our former leaders, 'Frog' (Peter Richardson) and 'Fred' (Tony Bell) have been part of the Cuboree catering team for the last 21 cuborees (they only missed the first one!). This year they have finally decided to retire, which marks the end of over 25 years of scouting that began at Mt Stuart.
