The 23rd Australian Scout Jamboree (AJ2013) is being held from the 2nd to 13th of January next year. 13,000 Scouts and their Leaders from all over Australia will head to the Maryborough Showgrounds and Equestrian Park in Queensland to attend this exciting event. The theme for AJ2013 is “Dream It, Live It!” and the goal of the Program Team is to make every Scout’s dreams come to life. The program will include an astonishing range of activities including (just to name a few): snorkelling, abseiling, rock climbing, giant water slides, junkyard wars, challenge valley, trapeze, clowning, yakkery (a youth forum), mud volleyball, amateur radio, plumbing, carpentry, lapidary, wood turning, geocaching, newspaper and TV. The Jamboree aims to provide a pinnacle experience for the Scouts who attend.

We are sending around a dozen of our members to the Jamboree and have been working hard to fundraise to get them there. We've held BBQs, sold chocolates and sought support from politicians, businesses and service clubs.
