What a fabulous weekend we had at the 49th annual Scout Guide Regatta! Mt Stuart took a large contingent of 18 Scouts, 3 Venturers, 3 leaders, and at least 5 parent helpers. Our Rover-leaders were also there enjoying some Rover fun! Putting on a camp for around 1000 people would be a daunting feat, but the Regatta team do a wonderful job to provide an action-packed program, great food and a safe environment for our young people to enjoy heaps of land and water activities.

Our Scouts, Venturers and leader / parents participated in heaps of activities including: kayaking, raft and dinghy races, the iron person race, tug of war, boot throwing, line tossing, greasy pole, and sand sculpture! With a new activity on every 15 minutes, it sure was easy to fill in the weekend. At night there was the disco and outdoor movies to enjoy. Our young people did extremely well, many of them having a go at things they'd never done before... we even placed in the top 3 in some events! It was also great to see our new Venture Unit officially form at the Regatta - many thanks to Sandy Bay Venturers for letting us camp with them. So, well done to everyone who came along and participated, and to the adults who helped make it happen.
