On Sunday 18th May a group of scouts (and a dedicated Venturer) spent the morning planting native trees and grasses along the banks of the New Town Rivulet near the netball center. There has been evidence of bandicoot and platypus in the area and the grasses are good cover for the bandicoots. Tea tree was planted on the lower flood plain to help break the flow during flood events. We also removed a fair amount of dumped concrete and asphalt as well as the usual bottles and cans and some noxious weeds like African Box Thorn.

Well done to all that attended.
