This year as a District we celebrated Founders' Day with some swimming action, holding our District Swimming Carnival at Glenorchy Pool. It was a great event and Mt Stuart even managed to take away the Cub and Scout section trophies! Mt Faulkner won the Joey trophy and Sandy Bay took out the Venturer trophy. Well done everyone for coming along and participating.

Our Group Triathlon was yet again a fun event, this time with the bonus of warm weather! The warm weather meant we had to share the park with the masses, so a changed course was in order. Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers tackled the run, cycle and swim with much enthusiasm and it was exciting to watch them in action. The parent flags race was entertaining but we might need to run the mums separately next year to give the men a sporting chance! ;-)

This was followed by a very successful "50th Scout Guide Regatta" at Snug over the long weekend. Once again Mt Stuart participation was excellent with all of our crew trying their hand at the multitude of events on offer. As it was a special year the Cubs got to camp out and try some events too. We had some stand out performances in the rowing relays, iron person, greasy pole, regatta relays, kayak races, sand sculpture, and raft building / racing to name a few. Congratulations to all for their effort!
